The new horror film “Hereditary” is about a family that starts to unravel after the death of their matriarch. A lot of people have been talking about how this movie would be scary if it was based on real life, and one person in particular said they would be scared of anything that makes noise or bumps in the night.
So Any Little Bumps or Sounds in the House, I’m Scared is a blog post by Derrick Rose about his fears of what might happen to him if he ever gets injured.
Derrick Rose is deserving of attention in an age dominated by superstars like LeBron James and Kevin Durant. With the Chicago Bulls, the 2008 first overall selection created NBA history by becoming the league’s youngest MVP winner at 22 years and 191 days.
Despite the fact that injuries may have hampered his Hall of Fame aspirations, D-Rose remains a valuable member of the New York Knicks. Rose survived a difficult area on Chicago’s South Side before overcoming injuries to establish a lengthy career and a large cash account.
Derrick Rose is a Chicago native who grew up on the South Side.
Rose’s selection by the Chicago Bulls in the 2008 NBA Draft was one of the highlights of the event. However, the 33-year-old didn’t have fond childhood recollections of Chicago. He went on to describe what it was like to live in a hazardous area of town later on.
“We used to have a lot of stuff happen in my home and on my street when I was younger, to the point where I sort of developed PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) in a sense,” Rose told ESPN. “I’d be doing something in the basement when I heard music upstairs, and I’d rush upstairs, fearing someone was breaking into our home and ready to harm my cousin… this girl.” She used to get into fights with everyone in the neighborhood. For example, if she assaulted someone, I’d assume they’d return for vengeance. So any small bumps or noises in the home make me nervous, or I’d hear something late at night and be terrified because I thought these guys had returned.”
The three-time All-Star also discussed how he would attempt to assist his family if they were facing financial difficulties.
“Every day, my job was to wake up and try to think of new methods to hustle,” Rose said. “It’s not like I’m selling drugs or anything, but I’m doing stuff like shooting dice and jump shots to get a little bucks for my mother.” … Anything to relieve my mother of the burden. She’d receive a check for $700 or not be paid at all some weeks, once for a whole month. She’d be given $600 or $700 and would have $100 to spend after paying her expenses for two weeks. And then there’s having a child. “How are you going to do it?”

Rose made it to the NBA after years of battling in a tough area. Soon later, the life-changing funds began to arrive.
Rose’s estimated net worth is $90 million as of 2021. His paycheck covers the majority of it. Rose has made $155 million through NBA contracts over the course of 13 seasons, the bulk of which came from his $94 million rookie agreement in 2011. Early in his career, he also secured a huge contract with Adidas for at least $190 million.
D-Rose, on the other hand, has more money on the way. This summer, the veteran guard agreed to a three-year contract extension in New York, for an extra $43.5 million.
Rose has a lot more to show.
Rose’s entire career may be regarded a failure, despite the fact that the money has been superstar-level. A ruptured ACL and meniscus would derail the MVP in his prime, preventing him from returning to All-Star status. D-Rose, on the other hand, has found fresh life as a sixth man.
The veteran has only made 31 starts in the past three seasons. However, he has been a scoring force off the bench for the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Detroit Pistons, and the New York Knicks, averaging 18.0 points, 18.1 points, and 14.7 points respectively. He also had a strong finish to the season, dropping 24 points or more four times in May. Then he had a season-high 30 points in Game 3 of New York’s playoff series against the Atlanta Hawks.
The Knicks clearly anticipate Rose to be a major part of their plans, given the financial commitment they made. D-Rose worked with his old Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau to help New York earn its first playoff spot since 2013, the year the former MVP was injured. The obvious objective will be to return to the playoffs. However, the guard may be able to help the Knicks reach new heights this century.
Rose has undoubtedly faced worse challenges in the past.
