The Old Republic has launched a new version of the “Veteran” difficulty setting for players willing to take on harder challenges. The update makes available three additional tiers – Master, Champion and Hero levels, with varying level caps according to their tier.
Star Wars: The Old Republic is a MMORPG that has been around for years. Recently, the game has opened up testing for Veteran difficulty in the Elom flashpoint.
On Star Wars: The Old Republic’s public test servers, there’s a lot to try right now. Do you want to try out even more? With the new Veteran difficulty testing on the Elom flashpoint, you can examine how you manage the difficulty with the different fighting styles, level 80 combat scaling, and legendary goods. So now you have even more things to try out and experiment with.
Meanwhile, if you’re looking back to the game’s early days (maybe you saw those upscaled trailers), Damion Schubert’s review of how droids and aliens salvaged the game’s voice acting will send you down memory lane. No, really; a lot of the voice acting and writing had to be reassembled as the project progressed, and part of it included overlaying subtitles over generic beeps (or alien gibberish) to make the individual lines seem to make sense. It’s very nice.
So assemble your friends and family because this is a genuine tale. On a project the size and scope of SWTOR, the writing must be completed as soon as possible so that it may be edited, accepted by partners, and VOed.
